Sligo Rovers can confirm that first team coach Ryan Casey has departed the club to join John Russell at Shelbourne FC. Ryan served as assistant to John during his time at The Showgrounds, playing a valued role in the development of the squad and in the day-to-day work of the first team. He leaves with the sincere thanks of everyone at the club and our very best wishes for the next chapter of his career.

The recruitment process to appoint a new Men’s First Team Manager is ongoing and has now reached the interview stage. The club hopes to have an appointment secured in advance of Saturday’s home fixture against Drogheda United.

In the meantime, Declan Boyle will take charge of the team’s preparations. Everyone at Sligo Rovers would like to thank Declan for stepping in during this period.
