Kerry FC will visit the Showgrounds for the first time after Sligo Rovers were paired with the First Division side in the third round of the Club Orange Men’s FAI Cup.

The draw took place on RTE Radio One on Tuesday evening and was conducted by former League of Ireland players Stuart Byrne and Conor McCormack.

This will be the second time in two seasons that the sides will face each other. Kerry beat Rovers after extra-time in a dramatic quarter-final tie at Mounthawk Park last September. 

Kerry currently sit eighth in the First Division table and progressed past Shelbourne in the last round. 

The tie is due to take place at the Showgrounds on the week ending August 16th.
