We are delighted to confirm the club has today managed to obtain another limited amount of 90th Anniversary Shirts.
Originally, we planned to release just 90 shirts at €90 in keeping with the theme, but with our supporters always asked to dig deep to support the club, we felt this price was a little too high.
Therefore, we reduced the cost to €60, but kept the limited number at 90, with it being a ‘special edition’ shirt.
With the feedback we received over the weekend, and selling out within hours of release, we’ve worked hard with our kit supplier Joma and thankfully, we have been able to obtain some more. We had too many brilliant supporters that missed out and it simply wasn’t fair on them.
This means we now have another limited amount of shirts going on sale today, Monday, at the same price of €60 for Adults and €50 for Children.

Shirts are made to order so we advise supporters to be careful when choosing your size. (Note: Sizes are the same as our current home jersey, with a neat fit. We recommend supporters going a size above any regular fit clothing you have)
The club wish to thank all at Joma sport for their efforts in producing more shirts at short notice, and we also want to thank all the Bit O’ Red supporters for their fantastic reaction.
We look forward to celebrating our anniversary against Bray Wanderers on October 6th, a night we want to remember.

Sligo Rovers Football Club was formed 90 years ago this month and we will be marking the occasion in a unique way.
Sligo Rovers as a result of an amalgamation of two junior sides, Sligo Town and Sligo Blues, was born on 17th September 1928
Our first game was a 9-1 victory against Ballyshannon in Donegal on 23rd September 1928 in the qualifying round of the Connacht Cup.
Since then, the club has experienced many highs and lows on our journey to where we are today.
We have a fantastic support base not only in Sligo, but in surrounding counties and beyond. The Bit O’ Red are proud of our history, and we now look to celebrate our 90th year in Irish football on 6th October against Bray Wanderers at The Showgrounds.
We are pleased to announce that Rovers will wear a special 90th anniversary kit on the night, going back to our traditional red and white stripes.
Manager Gerard Lyttle sees this as a special occasion for the football club, and hopes it is one to remember.
Lyttle said: “Many clubs come and go, but this one certainly has a special place in people’s hearts. From speaking to ex-managers and players throughout my time here, they speak so highly of the football club and of the honour it was to represent it.
“We look forward to the Bray game, in our special 90th anniversary kit, and it’s something the squad & staff are proud to be a part of.”
The shirt will be available for supporters to purchase on a first-come, first-served basis.
We will have a maximum of just 90 shirts available, and must be ordered before next Thursday, September 13th.
Adult shirts will cost €60 with kids priced at €50.
