The 2018 Sligo Rovers Summer Camps concluded on a high, after nine hugely successful weeks of fun and football in The Showgrounds in July and August. The camps, which were once again proudly sponsored by The Sligo Champion, proved to be one of the most popular kids camps in the region yet again with over 900 children taking part over the nine weeks. Sligo Rovers recovered from a nightmare start to beat Livingston Colts and progress to the third round of the Scottish Challenge Cup.
The Bit O’Red had fallen behind to a wonderful Matthew Knox opener inside the first 90 seconds. But a Mikey Drennan hat-trick and a goal from David Cawley sealed the win for Rovers.

Sligo Rovers were brilliant 2-1 winners in Turner’s Cross on Friday night as David Cawley and Raffaele Cretaro secured a comeback win.
Karl Sheppard’s early header had the Champions on course for victory but second-half goals from Cawley and Cretaro was enough to see Rovers climb 11 points clear of safety but for the Leesiders, they now trail leaders Dundalk by six points with six games remaining.
