45 of our Last Man Standing players bit the dust this week, leaving us with 169 participants still standing and with the €1,000 prize money in their sights.

As we face into week 6, there are two definite trends beginning to show, those who have been brave and stayed away from the big teams each week and the others who have stuck rigidly to the overwhelming favourites every week.

Of the 169 players remaining in the competition Man City have been selected a whopping 147 times. Liverpool have featured 139 times while London rivals Tottenham and Arsenal have both been picked 128 times each. Man Utd (33) and Chelsea (67) both round out the top 6 clubs.

40 remaining participants have selected from these 6 teams in each game week so far. At the other end of the spectrum, Tommy Higgins is the only person who has used just one of these teams going into Week 6 having progressed to this stage by selecting Leicester City, Wolves, Arsenal, Everton & Watford so far.

Thirteen others have just selected two of the top 6 clubs in their previous teams and it’s going to be interesting whether their initial bravery in their initial choices will stand to them as the number of remaining available options reduces week after week. Have they taken a step forward in the hunt to be our Last Man Standing.
